About The CEO
AdéWé Stovall is a recent University of Denver graduate. Prior to completing High School in 2020, she was able to receive her associates degree, but aims to diversify her professional experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in hospitality with a focus on event management and a minor in leadership. In the future she hopes to reopen and manage an uninhibited family resort property while making BTCFest an outdoor festival similar to the likes of Coachella. Ms. Stovall is looking forward to continuing her education at Howard University in the MBA/JD program; she feels confident that this institution would provide her the best education to be able to follow her pursuits of entrepreneurship in the American landscape.
In correlation to her ideology of entrepreneurship in the American landscape, Ms. Stovall quickly realized that any success comes at a cost. As any high school student can attest to choosing a place of higher education that is affordable can be extremely taxing. Being that the university of Denver is a private university, Ms. Stovall amongst many others were met with a hefty tuition for enrollment. In attempts to help alleviate economic stress from her family Ms.Stovall organized a fundraiser to help raise monetary support for her future endeavors. In doing so she was able to raise enough money to assist her in paying part of the tuition to be a DU student. She even received funds from donors like international violist Lorna Hartling. Looking towards the future, Ms. Stovall hopes to encourage students alike that college is accessible even if they have to make it accessible themselves.
The experience of being both a graduating senior and college freshmen in the height of COVID-19, Ms. Stovall like many others across the globe have found these times to be extremely difficult mentally, physically, and emotionally. In spite of these downsides, she will be organizing an event to unite divided communities. BTCFest continues to highlight important morals close to Ms. Stovall’s heart. She hopes to reward people’s patience as we navigate our new normal. She longs to give smaller artist a platform to perform for a broader and diverse audience. Lastly, Ms. Stovall hopes to raise funds to support the education of struggling students of color. Ms. Stovall recognizes that there is a need for more support in terms of monetary funds (outside of financial aid) as well as moral support.
With support from generous donors she hopes to accomplish these numerous goals outlined.
