To College Students and Recently Graduating Creatives

Our Why:

Founder AdéWé Stovall is a 20 year old recent university graduate that has had her own financial struggles when dealing with college. Spending most of her school life homeless, she understands what it means to live paycheck to paycheck and sacrifice in order to obtain the education needed to really flourish as a black woman in this system. She also understands that you have to find the joy and fun in life in order to get through any adversity. AdéWé came up with the BTC Fest in hopes of bringing both fun and revenue to struggling college students in her area and hopefully soon around the nation. Coming to D.C. for the first time on MLK Day weekend and partnering with seamstresses to bring affordable, high quality African clothing to Black Americans, BTC Fest is sure to be the community event of the year! Our mission is welcoming back college students post-COVID while raising the funds financially struggling students of color, need in order to not only focus on their school work, but enjoy themselves and take full advantage their college experience. BTC Fest will kick off the second semester for D.C. university students relieving stress and giving college students the freedom to truly enjoy what’s left of their 2023-2024 school year.

Students all over the world have spent the last few years in confusion, unable to celebrate with their friends and peers, forced to do online learning and unable to relieve the stress that it is to be a college student. This time has also been hard on the financial status of many families and is affecting college students looking to finish their education and obtain their degree.
